Next Monday afternoon we are performing some of “The Town of Wind”, at Greg Branson’s photographic exhibition launch, “Ink to Image”, held in the Perth Lower Town Hall.
John Forrest’s 1874 expedition carved a path inland from Geraldton to the Peake Telegraph station in South Australia. James Sweeny kept a diary of this journey, writing about the everyday trials and triumphs.
Greg is James Sweeny’s great-grandson, and inspired by this incredible journey, Greg embarked on his own journey to photograph some of this remarkable journey.
It’s a special link that Lydia Gardiner’s “The Town of Wind” is inspired by the leaning trees of Greenough, not far from where this expedition took place.
On Monday 18th March at 3pm, join us for the exhibition launch (pre-booking essential), or turn up anytime until 22 March to check out Greg’s work.
